show & tell.. coffee pot
All is well in the world! I remembered and am actually HOME for Blackbird's famous show and tell!
This is what we're using right now. We just discovered French Press coffee this summer. usually it's a percolator of the thrift store variety, refurbished by my very handy father-in-law) .
I love it! Except that it doesn't stay HOT for very long..but the flavor is so good!

Press pot (French press) coffee is a great way to make proper coffee sense you eliminate several issues that Target acquired coffee makers always have, mainly temperature issues.
Now think grinder.
Enjoy.
I want to try french press, but am afraid of the chill factor. Oh, what the heck, I only make enough to drink at one time anyway, perhaps I will go buy another kind of coffee maker to live here.
I have seen french press cozies that a few crafty people have made, you might want to do that. I usually wrap a thick dishtowel around it to insulate until I've had my second cup. Happy pressing :)
